Standing on Giants is now a certified B Corp

By Rob Fawkes on 30 Aug 2020

We are thrilled that, as of August 2020, Standing on Giants is now a certified B Corp! We announced the news on Linkedin initially and were blown away by the amazing reaction from both clients and other B Corp businesses alike.

What is a B Corp?

B Corps are a community of over 3,500 businesses around the world who commit to working for the benefit of people and planet, not just profit. They go through a rigorous process of assessment and verification to make sure they are meeting the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility, legal accountability and public transparency.

Well known B Corps include: Ben & Jerry’s, Innocent Drinks, The Guardian Media Group, Jamie Oliver Group, Danone and Patagonia.

Why has Standing on Giants become a B Corp?

Our vision is a world where business works for the benefit of people and planet, not just profit, powered by trusting and collaborative communities. Being so aligned with the B Corp movement, it made perfect sense to pursue certification.

It wasn’t easy! It took a full year of work from a number of members of our team to meet the rigorous requirements.

Where has Standing on Giants done well?

Our company was assessed across 5 areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.

We scored very highly in ‘Workers’ and believe we will be in the top 10% of B Corps globally for this. Ever since our company was founded, our people have been of central importance to us. We believe that a talented and happy team will deliver the best results for our clients. It’s great to hear that we don’t only succeed in this area but are among the best in the world!

If you’d like to hear more about our B Corp status, ask us about the process or get tips on how you can pursue certification yourself, get in touch!
