02 Telecoms UK
Currently the second largest mobile operator in the UK, O2’s community has operated for over five years. The Standing on Giants O2 Community Team has been there right from the start. With over half a million unique monthly visitors, lively debate, great product reviews and O2-related questions, the community has come a long way since the early days. As a high profile brand, 02 also sponsor the England rugby team and offer community giveaways for rugby tickets and events.
How do you really shake up the energy market? First: by offering green energy at wholesale prices (plus a low-cost subscription). Second: by building your company around a community so customers have a real say in how the business is run. That’s Pure Planet’s business model and it’s one we think is going to be very successful. Right now, they’re operating in a limited mode, but judging by press coverage and community activity, they are set to grow fast. Standing on Giants is proud to have helped Pure Planet take this big step in doing things differently.
The Airbnb Community Centre is the official discussion community for Airbnb hosts. Available in (wait for it…) English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch and German (and breathe) it’s run from the Standing on Giant’s office in London. Working closely with the company, our team helps community members shape Airbnb products, runs live conversations with key Airbnb staff, shares hosting tips, and generally has fun making the Community Centre an amazing place for people to participate.
