2009

Right Place, Right Time

Robbie Hearn and Vincent Boon first met in 2009 on the startup team at disruptive telecoms company giffgaff. Together, they wanted to know what would happen if a company were to place its customers at the heart of everything they do. Through pursuing that question, they developed a revolutionary, community-driven business model.

2012

Standing on Giants is born

Robbie and Vincent founded Standing on Giants within Telefonica to take the transformative power of brand-owned online communities to their other brands around the world. Communities are launched for O2, Movistar, and Vivo among others.

2016

Independence Day

Standing on Giants becomes an independent company through a management buy out. The company soon attracted new clients like Airbnb, Lenovo, and E.ON to the power of customer communities.

2019

New Leadership

Zsuzsanna Recsey joins Standing on Giants as CEO. Her expertise in operations and leadership ignites a new phase of growth for the business.

2020

B Corp Certified

Demonstrating our commitment to people and planet, Standing on Giants certifies as a B Corp for the first time.
